What we are looking for
Optime Care, a Specialty Pharmacy, is looking for a dynamic leader to help us move into the next generation of Pharmacy Software Management and Data Analytics. They will create the vision design and implementation of the pharmacy software and related services to support running pharma clients. In addition, this role plays a key component in the data strategy and analytics for supporting both internal data initiatives and client-facing data needs. This person will work closely with a third-party vendor in the configuration, implementation, and rollout of the new pharmacy dispensing platform. They will also work closely with client care teams, IT, and executive leadership as part of the collaborative solution delivery for our clients and the patients they serve. This position requires regular weekly attendance at our Earth City, MO office.

What the position will be doing
  • Lead the conversion, installation, and implementation of any new pharmacy management system and any subsequent programs.
  • Oversee the development, documentation, and revision of system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards, as well as software upgrades and regulatory-related change requirements.
  • Create and manage the data and analytics necessary to respond to client needs and Optime’s business operations.
  • Create integration solutions to other third-party technology platforms to create a more holistic set of solutions to meet client needs and internal initiatives.
  • Manage a team of IT professionals responsible for the maintenance, update, and support of critical pharmacy management software and systems.
  • Collaborate closely with executive leadership and clients on business needs identification and creating solutions in support of those needs.
  • Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
  • Assist with the development of employee training programs in support of pharmacy management system use and best practices.
  • Ensure documentation of best practices, quick reference sheets, and other system operational information is maintained and readily available for system users.
  • Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
  • Participate appropriately in staff and management meetings, and patient care conferences.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or as necessary; remain flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by departmental and organizational needs.
Necessary Skills, Education & Abilities
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead change, design thinking and implementation of a software solution
  • Working Knowledge of Inovalon ScriptMed Solution.
  • Knowledge of Wellsky CPR+ is desired, but not required.
  • Deep understanding of the role data analytics plays in an organization.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in integrating and managing pharmacy dispensing systems.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with understanding pharmacy operations.   
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g. PowerBI, QlikSense, Tableau).
  • Experience in SQL database reporting/Crystal Report building.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills with an ability to visualize processes and outcomes.
  • Ability to lead a team through systems transitions and ongoing support.
  • Ability to champion change management.
  • A passion for solving problems and providing workable solutions.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide solutions to complex problems.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels within an organization and with partners, vendors, and even clients.
  • Ability to think and act independently, formulate, and support new ideas, and champion new initiatives within and beyond the scope of own responsibilities.
  • Proficient in financial management systems, accounting software, and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and especially Excel.
  • Ability to travel 10%
